FIA made history on August 15, 2020, when they raised the Indian National Flag in New York's Times Square during the inaugural flag-hoisting celebration in observance of India's Independence Day. It was at the iconic Times Square location where the Indian tricolor was first unfurled. To mark the 75th anniversary of India's Independence Day in 2021, the FIA hoisted the largest flag ever seen in Times Square. Since it began holding this ceremony four years ago, FIA has garnered a great deal of acclaim and attention from media outlets all around the world for its efforts.
