Bond Floats has been FIA's vendor for over 25 years, and it has the necessary permits to bring the floats into Manhattan through the Lincoln Tunnel. All floats are prepared, decorated, and stored at its facility in Clifton, prior to being brought to Manhattan on the day of the parade.
FLOAT SELECTION & DECORATION:
One can choose one of the several float designs (see Bond Floats website) that are available readymade.
The Maximum Width of a float is 8' and the height of a decorated float should not exceed 11’ for travel from the NJ location to Madison Avenue, New York.
For an onboard use of a generator and sound system, the sponsor will have made the arrangements for it.
Decorations are generally done at the Bond Floats premises and any required modifications or final touches may be made on-site as per New York City rules and regulations.
Any other private float or a motorized vehicle is not allowed to participate in the parade unless approved by FIA in writing. An advance written notice of 2 weeks must be given to FIA.
FLOAT DECORATION CHARGES:
Bond Floats will charge additional fees for anything requested more than customary regular decorations. The Sponsor/Organization is solely responsible to confirm with Bond Floats of any additional charges imposed by it and shall be paid directly by the party.
HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN BE ON A FLOAT?
The City of New York does not allow more than 20 people on a float. Floats with more than 20 people will be asked to leave the parade immediately unless the extra people disembark the float.
DISTRIBUTION OF FOOD & GIVEAWAYS FROM THE FLOAT:
No free food/product distribution allowed including distribution of any collaterals or flyers from the float or near its vicinity. If any vendor is found breaching this provision, they would be asked to leave the parade immediately with termination of the float. No refund will be given.
CLOTHING/DRESS CODE:
All participants on the float/parade shall be in family-friendly costumes suitable for our Indian culture, traditions, occasion and its values. FIA Committee reserves the right to disqualify individuals/groups with any inappropriate clothing.
SLOGANS:
Personnel comments or slogans against any caste, religion, race, color, gender, country, etc. are prohibited in any form.
FLOAT FORMATION & DISPERSE LOCATION:
Float formation Time: 11.00 AM Kick-off Time: 12:30 PM End Time About: 3:00 PM.
Float formation Location: on 37th & 38th Street between 5th Avenue and Park Avenue and the floats shall disperse on 27th Street between Madison and 5th Avenues. Parade to start from 38th Street marching down South on Madison Avenue to 27th Street between Madison and 5th Avenues.
TERMS OF PAYMENT:
FULL payment payable to FIA must be made at the time of signing of this agreement.
No refund will be given if canceled within 45 days of the Parade or non-compliance with the above-mentioned conditions.

PLEASE NOTE:
FIA reserves the right to accept or deny any application without specifying the reasons. Floats line-up will be based on the type of sponsorship.
ACCEPTANCE OF FIA TERMS & AGREEMENT:
We understand and agree that FIA is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to our property. We have read the above terms and conditions and will also abide by the rules and regulations of the City of New York.
We also agree to abide by any rules as determined by the Executive Committee or the Parade Committee of the Federation of Indian Associations.
BALOONS, INFALATBLES OR HELIUM TANKS ARE NOT PERMITTED ON FLOAT/BOOTH AS PER NEW YORK CITY RULES. IN VIOLATION WILL BE FINED AT LEAST $500.
